Ancient Sunrise® Henna for African Hair is our best henna for all of the variants of natural and relaxed hair. The fine sift of this henna is easy to work into and rinse out of fragile hair.

Ancient Sunrise® Henna for African Hair creates shimmering red highlights on brunette or black hair but can not actually dye dark hair red. This henna can be used before or after relaxing; it will repair the damage from relaxers and other chemical treatments. Repeated applications of Ancient Sunrise® Henna for African Hair will slightly, gradually relax natural curls.

If you are allergic to chemical hair dye, or have been advised by your physician to not use chemical hair dye to dye your hair, you should be able to use Ancient Sunrise® Henna for African Hair and other Ancient Sunrise® products safely. We have tested all Ancient Sunrise® hennas through an independent certified laboratory to insure that they have NO lead, NO PPD, NO contaminants, adulterants or pesticide residue.

Ancient Sunrise® Henna for African Hair is independently certified 2.0% lawsone content.

Recommended amounts:
  • 100g will dye and condition short hair.
  • 200g will dye and condition collar length straight hair.
  • 300g will dye andcondition shoulder length straight hair.
  • 500g will dye and condition waist length hair.
  • Locs may take up 25% more henna paste.

Store henna in a cool, dark, place. You may refrigerate or freeze henna. Henna quality may deteriorate at high temperatures.
