Twilight is the best henna powder for gray hair. This organic henna will color graying hair a rich auburn hair color. Even if you're dyeing resistant gray hair, Twilight has you covered. This body art quality henna has a great sift for easy application and easy rinsing.

If your hair is medium to dark in color you will achieve deeper auburn tones. You may not see much change in color on darker hair, but your gray hair will appear like highlights and your hair will glow in the sunlight. Henna restores damaged hair.

For fragile hair, try our Ancient Sunrise® Rarity Henna for Delicate Hair, instead. For best results, use Ancient Sunrise® Rainwash prior to application.

Not looking for red? No problem! You may need Ancient Sunrise® cassia or indigo in addition to henna! We also have wonderful additives to help fine-tune your final hair color!

Ancient Sunrise® Henna works on chemically treated hair! You may need to do additional applications for your desired result, depending on how much damage was caused by previous products.

Ancient Sunrise® products do not lighten hair. Hair color will vary from head to head. Contact customer service for assistance.

    Ancient Sunrise Henna for Hair

"Ancient Sunrise Henna for Hair" explores the art, science, techniques, and history of using henna, indigo, and cassia to dye hair. This book is a timely update of the previous book, "Henna for Hair" by Catherine Cartwright-Jones, to address the problem of the epidemic of para-phenylenediamine sensitization: the increasingly dangerous and widespread allergy to chemical hair dye. Separate chapter headings are listed below for your download convenience. Click on each chapter heading cover below to download each PDF file.

    Chapter 1 "Henna for Hair"

This chapter discusses the risks of using chemical hair dye, and the epidemiology of millions of cases of hair dye allergy and introduces the solution for allergies to chemical hair dye andassociated chemical sensitivities.

Chapter 2 "The History of Henna Hair Dye"

This is an expanding collection of research papers on the history of henna approached through the effect of climate change and human migrations on henna since the most recent glacial period to the present.

    My mix
Hi I am age 66, and I have used the henna and cassia from Mehandi for several years. It gives my hair more body, making it healthier and stronger. It is good for the scalp as well. As a natural redhead, my graying hair may take the red henna dye more easily than most. When I first started using henna on my hair I was very nervous that it would become too red, but it did not happen. For years I hav

    Superb and beautiful
This is high quality long lasting henna. I've used it for years with very consistent results. I've been watchin my hair become more and more red as I get more and more gray! My hair is dark brown and still looks mostly brown but in sunlight the red sort of glows. Gray hairs are straight-up red. I have also used this henna with indigo in a 50/50 mix. That gave excellent brunette results.

Excellent grey coverage/ rich red tones
I have been using Henna for almost 20 years now. I have found Mehandi to be the best, safest and best of any I’ve tried. Rajasthani has been a long time favorite bc of the rich tones. Luxurious softness. People compliment me constantly on my color, even in the high end salon where I have my hair cut. I am about 75%grey now and the coverage is perfect. I sometimes add a bit of indigo to add dimen
