Carrot Bags
Confectioners call them piping bags; henna artists and people who use henna to dye their hair call them indispensable! ![]() Sadly, the original carrot bag factory burned down. We've never been able to find the soft one-seamed bags again. Nobody else makes them. We have had to replace them with stiffer two-seamed bags. These are fine for filling cones and applying henna to hair, but they're too rigid for free-hand henna work. They are firm enough to use over and over. Mix up your henna and put it in a
carrot bag. Section your hair for henna, and squish the henna
right down on the scalp, then down the length of your hair. This
will help you get a thick, even dye job! If you have extra henna
when you're done, throw the carrot bags full of henna in the freezer
and keep them until next time!
