with henna flower attar, amber, cardamom and vetiver essential oils,
shea butter, beeswax and coconut oil.
Rub this bar between your hands after washing. The butter will sink into your skin and the natural comfort and scent will slowly be released. |

Henna Flowers: the Flower of Paradise
Henna Flower attar is one of the most rare, beautiful and ancient scents, yet is virtually unknown in the west. You won't be able to smell the henna flower fragrance in the lotion bar at first, but when you rub it on your hands, the fragrance will gradually bloom, as if from distant clusters of henna flowers at a desert oasis. |
Henna is
"Camphire" in the Bible, and is mentioned in the Song of Solomon, as well as in the
Talmud. "My Beloved is unto me as a cluster of Camphire (henna flowers) in the vineyards of En-Gedi" Song of Solomon, I, 14. Rashi, a Jewish scholar from 11th c France, interpreted this passage as the fragrant clusters of henna flowers being a metaphor for forgiveness and absolution, showing that God forgave those who tested Him (the Beloved) in the desert. |
