Real People, Real Henna: "Anne-Gaelle"![]() ![]() Anne-Gaelle used henna to go from ash blonde to auburn The Real Thing: I mixed Ancient Sunrise henna from www.mehandi.com with a mildly acidic mix. I let it sit till dye release. It was a hot day so in 3 hours i had an orange stain on the paper. I mixed10 grams of Ancient Sunrise indigo and added it to the henna. I put saran wrap on my head and then a towel. Every 15 min i used the hair dryer to warm the towel. I let it sit for 7 hours and rinsed it easily in the shower. The result is a dark copper with a few auburn highlights. I had a few centimeters of bleached hair left which turned more copper as you can see on the photo. I did one more application three days later and got the color I wanted and the copper highlights were gone.
