Ancient Sunrise® Amla

Ancient Sunrise® Amla is powdered, dried fruit of the pyllanthus emblica tree. Amla can make henna and indigo paste dye your hair a cooler brunette.

Mix 25 grams of Ancient Sunrise® Amla powder per 100 grams of Ancient Sunrise® henna/cassia powder, then stir in enough distilled until the paste is the desired consistency.

Amla paste is also an excellent exfoliating, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial astringent scrub for your face! It does not have the alcohol and chemicals found in commercial facial scrubs. Amla has high levels of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) that break up the top layer of dead skin cells, and bits of amla seed, which gently exfoliate the skin. Mix a spoonful of amla powder and enough water to make a paste about the consistency of yogurt. Let that sit for 15 minutes. Massage your skin with the paste, and wash the paste off after a minute.
